Paint Palestine Pink was founded in August 2010 as a non-profit organization.  It serves Anderson County and surrounding areas. The goal of Paint Palestine Pink is to increase breast cancer survival rates by providing mammograms to women and men that are uninsured and underinsured.  To apply for assistance with a mammogram go to the Mammogram Application and fill out the application form All money raised by this organization is used locally, none of the funds are sent to state or national organizations.  Funds are used strictly to benefit residents of Anderson County and immediately surrounding areas only.  This organization is completely funded by donations and run by a board of directors and community volunteers. Donations may be taken to Texas Oncology, or may be made to individual participant fundraising pages at  Since 2010 $100,000 in funds have been raised, and 1032 diagnostic/medical procedures have been provided by PPP.

The 5th Annual PAINT PALESTINE PINK Walk/Run is fast approaching.  There are some exciting changes this year.  We are thrilled to announce the addition of a 5K fun walk/run.  The 1.5 fun walk will be incorporated into the 5k walk/run. Any participant interested in knowing their time can be timed by Race Chip Timing.  Participants in both the 5K and the 10.5 Loop walk/run will now be registering on a separate website,, which will keep allow them to keep track of their individual fundraising. The 4th Annual PAINT PALESTINE PINK walk/run took place on October 11, 2014, on a very rainy Saturday.  The PPP Walk/Run consisted of three events, a 1.5 mile Fun Walk, a 10.5 mile Loop Walk, and a 10.5 mile Loop Run.  All three events, the 1.5 mile Fun Walk, the 10.5 mile Loop walk, and the 10.5 mile Loop run all started and finished at Texas Oncology.  The 2014 event was quite successful, with 230 registered participants and over $25,000.00 raised.  This was the first time participants could choose to be timed.  Times for participants can be found at
